      Only 15 metres across the lawn is the beach. There is a quiet charm of locals, and foreign residents and discerning tourists with no beach touts or beach umbrellas as found on the main West coast beaches. Probably the only bay in all Phuket which is protected from the SW monsoon ocean swells that closes beaches on the West coast for much of the May to November season as well as protected from the strong N.E. winds for the rest of the year. The beach is clear of coral reefs and there is no muddy bottom at any state of the tide.
